We didn't win any games, but we had a lot of fun! I don't even care. We had so much fun and we played so well that nobody even realized that we lost all our games until our coach pointed it out to us. That is good.
We were lucky again and we got to play at the Flash Factory practically across the street, so it was really easy for the family to come and go. But, we played all the hardest teams. In our last tournament, we got 16th place out of 63 (that's REEELLY good!), but that also meant that we played teams between 1st and 15th (that's REEELLY bad!). In our very first tournament, we got 46th place out of 63, so we have improved a ton! And, we were happy to find out yesterday, that even though we lost all of our games, we stayed in 16th place!
There was one game against a really huge, mean, scary team that we lost to by a lot. The first game it was like 8-25, but the second we pulled up to about 16-25. The rest of the games were all barely lost, which made it really nerve-wracking, but the last one was the worst. We lost 26-28! It went back and forth from 23-23 all the way up to 26-27, and then they won at 26-28. I did not like that game. I thought I was going to puke from nervousness.
I had one amazingly spectacular save and I was so proud of myself! The ball was passed to me, but it went kind of over my head and behind me. I turned around and booked it to the ball and slid on my knees, hitting it with one hand, up and over the net to score a point. I wasn't even trying to get it over the net - I was just trying to get it back into the court so we could get it over on the third pass, but that didn't happen - it went over when I hit it! The coach said the best part was my squeal afterwards!
