My Volleyball Tournament

We didn't win any games, but we had a lot of fun! I don't even care. We had so much fun and we played so well that nobody even realized that we lost all our games until our coach pointed it out to us. That is good.

We were lucky again and we got to play at the Flash Factory practically across the street, so it was really easy for the family to come and go. But, we played all the hardest teams. In our last tournament, we got 16th place out of 63 (that's REEELLY good!), but that also meant that we played teams between 1st and 15th (that's REEELLY bad!). In our very first tournament, we got 46th place out of 63, so we have improved a ton! And, we were happy to find out yesterday, that even though we lost all of our games, we stayed in 16th place!

There was one game against a really huge, mean, scary team that we lost to by a lot. The first game it was like 8-25, but the second we pulled up to about 16-25. The rest of the games were all barely lost, which made it really nerve-wracking, but the last one was the worst. We lost 26-28! It went back and forth from 23-23 all the way up to 26-27, and then they won at 26-28. I did not like that game. I thought I was going to puke from nervousness.

I look really funny when I serve ...

I had one amazingly spectacular save and I was so proud of myself! The ball was passed to me, but it went kind of over my head and behind me. I turned around and booked it to the ball and slid on my knees, hitting it with one hand, up and over the net to score a point. I wasn't even trying to get it over the net - I was just trying to get it back into the court so we could get it over on the third pass, but that didn't happen - it went over when I hit it! The coach said the best part was my squeal afterwards!

The New Addition

We have a new hot tub! Uncle Rick sold his old one to us, so we had it brought over on Monday! Since it already feels like 100 degrees outside, we are going to keep it as a cold tub for the summer.

On Monday and Tuesday it wasn't filled up yet, so you can imagine all the games the kids played! They were back and forth between the empty hot tub and the trampoline for hours. It finally felt like spring since everyone was outside!

After we filled it up ... it was about 70 degrees outside and 10 degrees in the cold tub, but they all jumped in anyways.

Since all my pictures are being posted to Facebook recently, I'm making a goal to put a post on my blog at least once a week - help me keep that up!

It's Finally Spring!

By the way, I know the difference between it's and its. It's = it is Its = showing possesion. I found that out yesterday.
Anyways, this morning we got up early and ran the Green Fever 5K at UVU. It was freeeezing cold and very hilly, but still fun. Dad's goal was to never stop running (and I'm not sure if he did that or not) but his time was barely over 30 minutes. I got 35:16, Morgen and Mom came in around 37 minutes, and Nathan's time was 46 minutes. Now he thinks that he doesn't want to run it next year because his time was so long!
Connor, Oma Cheryl, and Opa Larry ran with us, too. Mike and Kayley stayed in the car with Caleb, Lexi, and Elle.

We all decided that Morgen has the perfect runner's body. She is in the brown sweats and blue sweatshirt.

Dad stretching before the race (not the prettiest sight).

In the car, Nathan was wearing his Lehi football sweatshirt, hot purple sparkly gloves, sunglasses, and navy blue sweats. He wouldn't let me take a picture of him though. He thought that I was going to send it to all of my friends (I'm not sure what that means!)

We did have fun taking pictures after we got home, though.

Caleb was pretty bored after we got home. Mom and I did a little gardening with Caleb's help, Dad washed the cars, Zoee played outside forever, Lexi and Morgen are rollerblading outside, and Nathan is playing football. I am so glad that Spring is here!

I cannot believe how long her tongue is! It's like this dangly growth thing that hangs from her mouth and won't stay in!

Caleb eventually got 'boring with the computer'.

Almost all the snow is gone, too! Poor Zoee doesn't have any snow to lay down in after she gets all hot from fetching the ball.

I'm so happy that the flowers are coming up! They are so pretty compared to the rest of the yard (it's just a little brown and dull).

Nathan's Baptism

I'm very proud of myself because it has only been a week since Nathan's baptism and I'm already blogging about it!

Being eight means Nate's in Scouts!

Me and Jessica at the Mayan. We took a lot of picture of ourselves because we hardly ever get to see each other!

Nathan, Lexi, Grandma, and Grandpa

I just thought that this looked cool! It was of the waterfall when the divers are out at the Mayan.

He must have just farted or something.
Can any more kids fit on one rail?
Rock Band was a big hit! Jessica, McKay, and I all stayed and played it while everyone else was eating dinner. Then we got kicked off when the kids were finished, but nobody was eating anymore so we got good spots!

Tavin found our Karaoke Machine and starting singing with the microphone. It was so cute!

I really hope that Nathan keeps singing when he is older. It is so cute when boys sing, even if they cant.

Here are just a bunch of pictures of me and Jessica
