Getting Ready for Christmas

I really tried to postpone getting into the Christmas spirit, because that meant snow, but I guess that with a week to go I should can't really do that anymore! Honestly, the day after Halloween is way too soon to start playing Christmas music. I hate this snow. Its just so cold and it makes you fall in front of the boy you like, and it keeps the buses from getting home.

You can't really say anything more than it's cold, but last year, I was walking in from reccess, and I totally slipped on the ice and landed flat on my face, right in front of the boy I liked. He laughed so hard, and it was really embarrassing. It was so embarrassing that I put it into a cartoon strip for a homework assignment about your most embarrassing moment in school.

Today, my friend and I were debating which bus to take. There are two buses that go to Traverse Mountain, one for each side, and ours wasn't there, so we took the other one. We were already later than usual because it had more stops than ours, and then the entrance to Traverse Mountain was blocked because none of the cars could get up the hill! So we kept going and went in around the Cabela's loop, but that also has a pretty big hill. Our bus didn't have chains and couldn't make it up the hill, so we had to wait for 20 minutes for another bus to come, and we were seriously 2 minutes from our house! We couldn't really walk, though, because we would get blown over. It was super windy, which made huge drifts everywhere, and the whole bottom layer of snow was turning to ice. Plus, my phone kept dying and then suddenly becoming alive again, so it was really difficult to tell my mom what was going on. Tons of people's parents came to pick them up, so when we finally got on another bus there were only like 10 of us left, 8 of which were in our ward!

Anyways, yesterday we got home just fine and played in the snow. I didn't play in the snow - I just took pictures. We made an awesome sledding hill in our front yard because it's all one big slope.

My mom couldn't figure out why I like this picture so much! It's hilarious!

Caleb looked so cute on the sled. He really liked it!

We went to see Santa at Thanksgiving Point on Monday night. I liked the addition of Mrs Claus and the reindeer - you don't see them very often.

This is Comet and Blitzen.

Scroll down for the awesomest picture you will ever see in your whole life. My mom understood why I thought this one was so hilarious!

Nathan and Caleb got BYU hats for their Advent present. In Germany, you have your traditional Advent Calendar that everybody has. But they also celebrate the 4 Sundays before Christmas by getting a gift. Morgen and I got knee-high socks, but they were kind of thigh-high and we had to take off our pants to pull them up as high as they could go, so we didn't take any pictures!

We also got a gingerbread house and had a lot of fun decorating it.

Caleb also liked eating it!

We can't forget the baking. We have made fudge, cookies, pretzel caramel things, cookies, caramel popcorn, and more cookies. I have probably gained like 10 pounds from the last two weeks, but that's okay because I have volleyball training for an hour every Tuesday night and it is way better and more painful than our Workout Video!
I just had to put this picture on. Elle came over the other day and they were playing and laughing together - it was adorable.
